I’ve owned two of these sets and neither one has had the banding issues. The first one was returned due to a crashing/software issue. The first set was purchased 12/17/18 then returned the new one was purchased 1/4/19. There are banding tests you can watch on YouTube to see if your tv has the banding. If it does simply return it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not an issue with all panels. You cannot beat the price for the picture. BB has a great return policy so you will not be stuck. Don't be scared take a chance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have two of these TVs and have been using them since Christmas Day. We have had absolutely no problems whatsoever with either one of them. The picture is as clear as can be with no banding issues whatsoever. My husband did a lot of research into these TVs before we purchased and said that it is the highest rated TV in this price range. We have high speed Internet and Cable TV so I don’t know if that makes a difference but we are very happy with this purchase.

We drove to pick it up and see it on display. The store display was washed out with low contrast. So we traded it back (w/o opening) and bought a 55" 4k LG with HDR. It looked better but only has a few (8?) Vertical dimming areas.
