“If I have a problem with my TCL tv that I got a few months ago do I contact TCL since it’s in it’s first year of warranty or do I call GEEK SQUAD since I have extended warranty.? Plus I don’t seem to be able to access settings to calibrate. this unit”

TCL. And after their warranty expires, you go with the extended warranty. Hopefully, you didn't buy those extended warranties that start immediately. Instead of after your original warranty from TCL ends.
