• Same question here. I was trying to connect it to a Samsung 5.1 soundbar, but can never get the rear speakers work, no matter using HDMI ARC or optical. When I connect my sound bar with my cellphone via Bluetooth, the 5.1 works.

• The Optical port supports both Dolby 5.1 and PCM stereo. Please remember that you would need to turn the volume down on the TV to mute the TV speakers. This will prevent an echo. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
