“I want to set this up with my cable provider which is Verizon. Is that possible. I assume that would negate Roku Can I go back and forth between platforms. I also assume I can connect Verizon directly to the tv. Thanks”

In order to use the smart features of this TCL Roku TV, you would need to complete the guided setup. This includes connecting to the Internet via WiFi, creating a Roku account (completely free), and activating the TV (completely free).
