  • QuestionWhat is the peak nits of the 98QM6K

    Asked by Lou.

    • Answer It quite ridiculous they can answer this question on every other model TCL QD-Mini LED TV but play dumb on this model. It's because it TCL specs this model as "up to 1000 nits" when independant testing shows it only reaching 600-750 nits. The QM7K is rated at 3000 nits (a major step up in picture brightness). The QM6K also only has 500 local dimming sectors whereas the QM7K has 2500. Both models spec a high 7000:1 static contrast ratio, but due to the much higher number of dimming zones on the QM7K the tv's dynamic contrast ratio jumps to 30,000,000:1. Dynamic contrast should be taken with a grain of salt however. Static contrast is the most reliable rating. Suffice it to say, the QM7K has a very noticeable increase in contrast then the QM6K. Hope this helps answer your question.
