“Does this sound bar not turn on automatically when the TV is turned on? I have a TCL 65” 4K TV and my sound bar is hooked up to it via the Optical cable. If I have to hit a button for the sound bar to start working, I’m going to have to return it.”

I didn't read the directions but it seems like when you connect the optical cable and use your TCL Roku remote it syncs automatically. The only time I use the remote is to toggle between the different sound modes...and then it seems like if you want to use blue tooth you have to use remote. I will add it would be nice if TCL had of done a full size remote with the options to turn subwoofer off....but the sound of the unit fills up my bedroom with music videos from YouTube to regular TV programming. I think you will really enjoy this soundbar.
