• Yes to both but using HDMIarc(corded) works way better. Your TV communicates with the sound with less fuss than BT.

• If you have a Roku TV it will connect wirelessly by proprietary wireless, but it's not Bluetooth on my Roku just Roku own wireless standard, but it does support Bluetooth also.
