- Answer Yes to both but using HDMIarc(corded) works way better. Your TV communicates with the sound with less fuss than BT.

QuestionCan you utilize tv volume on a Q7 TCL tv in tandem with this TCL soundbar? I know you can’t do both using the HDMI ARC option but I’m curious if using the optical input cord instead would allow me to use the soundbar without losing the TV audio.

- Answer Connecting via Optical should not disable the TV speakers. However, it is recommended to mute the TV audio when using Optical as using both may cause an audio echo. Additionally, if connecting via Optical, you would not be able to use the TV remote to control the soundbar volume level. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

QuestionI purchased this soundbar to connect to my Sony 55X900E TV which has an HDMI ARC output but I am unable to get the TCL soundbar to work with the HDMI connection. Is it compatible? Any suggestions? Thanks.

- Answer It is. Did you also adjust the input to ensure the soundbar displays? I’d think as your tv is Bluetooth compatible that would be another way to connect. You just hold down the Bluetooth button for it to display in your sound settings.

QuestionCan you mount this underneath a 55" 3 year old Roku TV that is on a wall mount but is angled away from the wall? There are machine screw sockets where the table stand used to insert into.
