Q: Does this soundbar display the sound level number on the bar or on the tv?
A: There is no sound level indicator that I’ve seen so far.
A: Yes to both but using HDMIarc(corded) works way better. Your TV communicates with the sound with less fuss than BT.
A: Connecting via Optical should not disable the TV speakers. However, it is recommended to mute the TV audio when using Optical as using both may cause an audio echo. Additionally, if connecting via Optical, you would not be able to use the TV remote to control the soundbar volume level. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

Awesome!
Love it! Crisp sound,powerful bass. Easy to set up. Great value. Got it as a gift for the Mr. and he loves it. The bluetooth was easy to connect as well as the app. All remotes can be used to adjust the volume and the modes are fun to play with through the app.

Good Value and Easy to Install, not great sound.
Very Easy to install and connect to a TCL TV. There doesn't seem to be a way to connect using the HDMI and get sound out of the Bar and TV and the Sound Bar doesn't seem to offer more sound, just makes it a little louder. I was hoping to fill the room. I ended up connecting via BlueTooth which does give you the ability to continue playing sound out of the internal speakers. This was a better option. I also like that you can control the bar and TV sound using the TV remote and toggling back and forth. My only drawback is the range and fullness of the sound. The sub gives it a little extra base, but the bar sounds exactly like the tv, it just makes the sound about 25% louder. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Good Value
Sound quality is worth more than the price. The volume control is just a little off, can’t do much fine tuning.
