• Yes. Also depends on your settings. I have mine set on motion and it records after detecting movement. You will see seperate files everytime it starts and ends a recording.

• Yes you can do that but you have to pay for the could service. When you first buy the camera you get one week free than have to pay. They have different options to choose from.
