Please try again later.Technically you could but you would have to make up a custom cable from say a 14-50 receptacle or 14-50 extension cord/cable to run it directly into the Universal Wall connector. Then set the wall connector to 40 amps if on a 50 amp circuit. Out of the box its designed to be hard wired.
