The side cameras are connected to the main dash camera. The main dash cam requires Wi-Fi to view the live video from the cameras or the stored footage. The camera requires you to be in the car and the car to be running.

However, our U1000 and Q1000 unit have the remote live-view option where you can access the live view when you are away from the vehicle. In order to activate these features you need to have an external hotspot in your car that stays on at all times. Our regular units like the F200PRO and F790 only use Wi-fi and can only be accessed when the vehicle is turned on and the unit is on. Please email us at: [email protected] if you have any more inquires or any concerns.

The rear and side cameras connect to the main forward facing dash cam. You can only see live footage while you’re in the running car. The dash cam goes into a low power parking mode and records only if an incident is detected while the car is off. The systems WiFi range is very limited and you need to be pretty much right next to the dash cam for it to connect.
