It is a dash cam, it is intended to capture everything in front of your car, all the time. It has no swivel, and only adjusts up and down, so it can be aimed beyond your hood. You can check the video on your computer, to make sure it's pointed correctly, and then leave it set there.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Once the F50 camera is positioned, just attach it and forget it. Viewing is done by removing the card and viewing on a computer. If you are happy with the viewing area, again, just attach it and forget it. Tried so many dashcams with the screen, where most of them just record for 15 minutes intervals but the Thinkware provides continuous recording and is by far the best in quality and size. It talks to let you know when continuous recording has started and beeps when you turn off the power. Also beeps, locks and protect your recording if you hit a bump thinking it may be an accident. Seems too sensitive for me. The plastic part that sticks to your windshield, I cut approx. 1/2 inch from both ends off so the footprint is very small and hardly visible from the outside with no effect on the recordings. Hope this helps.
