• Hi Chuck! This dash cam does have motion detection but it will need to be hardwired using the Thinkware hardwiring cable first. • NO MOTION DETECTION, BUT WHEN YOU START OR PLUG IT IN IT DOES TELL YOU THAT IT WILL START RECORDING . ALSO IT RECORDS YOUR VOICE AS WELL.
