A:AnswerHi Chris, it depends what you are using to power the dash cam. If you are using the cigarette lighter adapter, it will depend if your cigarette lighter outlet is constant or switched. If it is constant it will not turn off with the ignition and you will have ti unplug the camera when you leave the vehicle. You can hard wire the camera to the fuse box and the camera will switch to parking mode when you turn off the ignition, alternatively you can turn off parking mode and the camera will turn off when the ignition is off. The only thing you have to make sure is that the Battery wire has constant power and the ACC wire only has power when the ignition is on.
