No it does not. I have been using it as a front camera for more than 6 months, did not face any battery drain problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't see why you can't use it as a rear camera. The cable isn't very long, not sure it will reach to your fuse panel. The camera, when in park mode, only powers on when motion is detected. Not sure it will drain your battery. My guess is it wouldn't unless your battery is in bad shape.

If you are looking for a dual channel system, I suggest looking into our X500 or F750 models. In regards to a dual channel system in parking mode, it will not drain your car battery as long as the voltage settings are set according to your vehicle's needs.
