QuestionI am looking at driving for Uber would this be a good fit for protecting myself against any possible fraud that may occure? (Such as accuasions of being rude or touchy to drunk people or if I have issues with people and have to kick them out of my car)

- Answer Hi there, The H50 dash cam would be a good choice if you are planning to only record the interior. However, you may want to consider other dash cam models (X150, X500, F750) that have a rear-view camera option if you would like record the front and rear. Depending on how often you drive, you may also want to upgrade the memory card to store more footage before the dash cam overwrites. QuestionHello, I just purchased this camera wondering if I can use it as a rear view camera in my Equinox. If I have this as a front & rear camera hardwired for parking mode will they drain my battery. Thank you

QuestionParking surveillance modeHow does the parking surveillance mode work? Does it get it's power source from your car battery? Also, where can I buy the adapter cable?

- Answer Hi there, Parking surveillance mode is a built-in feature and can only be enabled when you hardwire your H50 to your car battery with the Thinkware Hardwiring Cable accessory. In parking surveillance mode, the dash cam is always recording but will only save footage once motion/impact is detected to save power consumption and space on the memory card. Do not worry about battery drainage, because Thinkware dash cams have built-in features that will monitor the voltage levels of your car battery and will shut itself off if it detects that the voltage levels are below the customizable voltage setting. - Answer Hi Eddie, Your dash cam automatically overwrites the microSD card when full, so the dash cam will record as long as it is powered. The amount of footage that can be stored before overwriting will directly depend on the size of the microSD card and the video quality. Here are the approximate amount of the minutes the H50 dash cam can store before overwriting by microSD card: 8GB = 73 minutes, 16GB= 146 minutes, 32GB = 292 minutes. Please note the maximum size of card supported by the H50 is 32GB. Please let us know if you have other questions! QuestionHow do you know when the battery is low on charge?

- Answer The camera is always connected to your car so that's where it gets its power from, you don't need to charge it. It turns on with your car and turns off when your car is off, if your car maintains the charge even when it's off then it will continue recording until you unplug it.

- Answer No battery, it is powered by the 12 volt cigarette lighter. that is probably just text they put in.

Technically speaking, you may install two H50 dash cams for front and rear recording, however, both camera needs to be connected to a power source to operate. In your case, if you want to hardwire both cameras, you have to ensure that your vehicle battery can handle two units. - Answer Hi Joe, With Format Free Technology, H50 footage are recorded in a special proprietary format. Users can save H50 footage on their computer in an .avi format using the H50 Viewer. However, once a copy of the file is saved on your computer, you can convert the format from .avi to any format you want including DVD. Please note that the H50 compatible with Windows computers only and conversion of the video to anything other than .avi will require additional software. Thinkware Customer Support

QuestionHad my windshield replaced, is there any way to get a replacement double sided tape/sticky for the windshield adapter.

- Answer Yes, if you call the company they offered me a new piece to send for free, but I needed it that night and went to Walmart and bought there 3m tape that is the same that is sent with the devise. I had to make it into 2 small strips to have full coverage, but it works the same.

To transfer the footage and its data, you will need to insert its MicroSD card to your personal computer and save the footage. From there, you will have the ability to send the footage to others for reviewing purposes. - Answer Hi there! Manual Recording videos are 1 minute clips containing the 10 seconds before activation and the 50 seconds after. As Manual Recording Mode is not designed for continuous recording, the dash cam will revert back to Continuous Recording Mode after each 1 minute Manual Recording clip. - Answer There is no battery. The camera plugs into the car lighter or can be hardwired to the fusebox. If it is hardwired there is a feature that senses when the car battery is discharging more than it should and the dash cam shuts off. I would get a field/game camera, which uses batteries and attach it to a tree or something.
