• No battery, it is powered by the 12 volt cigarette lighter. that is probably just text they put in.

• Hi Pam, Thinkware dash cams do not use batteries. Instead, they have and use built-in Supercapacitors, which are more reliable and secure in extreme temperatures. • Honestly I think they are just referring to the fact that it is battery powered (car battery). No other batteries are used.
