Hi There, if you prefer to not hardwire it, you can use the OBD Cable or the cigarette port. However, only the hardwiring and the OBD cable will enable Parking Mode. If using a cigarette port with constant power, the Dash Cam will stay on when the vehicle is off, but won't go into Parking Mode, and this may cause battery drainage, as in Parking Mode, the Dash Cam has a battery protection feature to avoid battery drainage.
