QuestionIs this safe to use on Luxury vinyl flooring? Would the use of steam destroy my floor like a traditional steam mop.

QuestionI'd like some clarification on using cleaning solution. I've read that it's not recommended to use cleaning solution in this steam mop, but if I don't use the steam mode, is it safe to add the cleaning solution to the water, or will it harm my machine?

- Answer absolutly no reason to add anything. once in a while scrape a little spot before cleaning.

QuestionHow well does this product clean grout? If there is another machine that would be more effective on grout, please give me the product name.

- Answer not good. the way the roller turns against the floor it will clean itself on the tile edge collecting in the grout line. to stop this I quick vacuum first and then use the cleaner if the floor is very dirty

QuestionIs the steam mode optional on this unit? If you don't enable steam, will it perform similar to the standard S5? I have Tineco cleaning solution from another product but want to know if it's safe to use in this unit with or without steam.

- Answer Dear Matt, the steam mode is optional. There are two modes in S5 Steam, one is AUTO mode and the other is STEAMING mode. In Auto mode, the iLoop™ sensor automatically detects how dirty the floor is and applies the appropriate amount of detergent and suction power. In Steaming mode, the nozzle starts to spray steam and it suits for deep cleaning. Please note that you don't need to use any solution with S5 Steam. You can do deep cleaning in a STEAMING mode.
