• Can’t turn off or adjust, but i also have oriental’s and I feel it works better than other vacuums on them. More deep suction than beater action. These roller heads I wouldn’t exactly call a beater as the brush is a very soft felt like fabric. It is very gentle on rugs (except of course tassels) No hard bristles. This makes it excellent on hardwood floors.

• That’s a tough one. I think the only chance you have is to try the soft roller brush

• The motor head cannot be turned off, and head height is not adjustable on the PURE ONE S12. The handheld tools would provide a gentler cleaning experience for your oriental rugs.
