No, they're not the same. The Roamio OTA *ONLY* works with Over the Air broadcasts (what the OTA stands for), and has 4 tuners. The Roamio Pro ONLY supports cable TV, and has 6 tuners and a larger hard drive for more storage. Also, you can't get lifetime service on the OTA model whereas you can on all other models (if you prefer paying once rather than continuously). The newer Tivo Bolt works with both over the air and cable, as did most older Tivos, but the Roamio OTA is over the air only, the Pro is cable only.
