• All you need is a good digital antenna. I use a Mohu Leaf Ultimate and get great signal. Broadband (maybe 6 Mbps or better) is needed if you want to watch any of the streaming services that this connects to like Netflix or Hulu Plus..

• Yes this sounds like it's for you, but you need to pay the $15 per month charge to TIVO and have internet access. You can use ethernet or wifi. It doesn't matter who you get your internet from.

• If you can tether your phone to the wireless port, you don't need internet service. It will simply download and update the guide using the cellphone's wireless connection, but it can get intense if it has to do an update. You also need a subscription to use the box.

• It's working fine via my hotspot provided by my phone :). (AT&T). Should work with any standard WiFi.

• This recorder is for you. It allows you to record any of your local tv channels. I think you can record up to 3 while watching one.
