Does TomTom-VIA 1515M 5 GPS work in Europe? null

Yes. This is exactly the purpose for which my wife and I bought this model (though other models would have worked too). TomTom has maps for individual countries in Europe ranging from $39.95 to $59.95, and then they also have maps of sections of Europe - Eastern, Western, or Central ($59.95 to $74.95). Finally they have maps of all of Europe, including special "Truck" and "Camper" editions ($84.95 to $169.95). Please note that none of these comes with the GPS and must be purchased separately, and that these are the prices at the time of this reply.
