• It should fit. Just take the old one out and replace it with this new one. Download the OS from Sony's site and place it on a flash drive so that it will format and setup the new drive properly. Go to Sony's site and get the instruction for uploading the OS. They have all the answers. Be careful about asking strangers!

• use adapter case presently in PS to remount this hard drive

• The PS3 should already have a mounting bracket in it. When I replaced my hard drive, I removed the old from the bracket and installed the new.
