• very likely will - as long as you have a standard 2.5" drive in your Dell, this eSATA drive is a nice low profile, so it can accommodate many machines - except for maybe the very thinnest laptops.

• In a short answer, yes it can replace the current 300GB HDD. To elaborate, you would need to do a fresh install of Windows, or use cloning software (such as through Piriform) to copy your pre-existing data over.

• YES. will provide you with increased storage capacity. Just ensure you have a backup, if transfer messes up. Or you could clone current drive to new Toshiba. You also have the option of doing a clean install of OS with the original discs when purchased or can be acquired from manufacturer.

• This drive is a 2.5" drive. The 2.6 reference is just the build revision, If your computer can accept 2.5" SATA drives you are set!
