• You should be able to. This tv comes with 1 Amazon tv remote so there should be no reason you need more than one to turn it on. Also the tv doesn’t actually turn off it just goes into sleep mode and pushing any one button brings it back out of sleep.

• You can. If you can use the remote control and move to different application you should be able to turn off the tv. In case you can't just program again you remote in setting.
