“purchased 43LF711U20 and I have set on HDMI 2 to Dish modem, I have the remote programed to do all the functions needed, BUT when I turn off the TV with the Dish remote and turn on the TV the next time and every time, I have to go thru the TV remote, Help”

Try to use the Power On feature. Go Home > Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On and select Last Input. David M. - Toshiba Support
