“I am moving to Southeast Asia and they utilize the PAL system there. Will my TV work? I called the manufacturer, the person I spoke to didn't seem to confident in his answer.”

I see no option for the PAL standard in the menus or in the manual, so I would have to say it will NOT work in that region. This model was made for the US only as far as I can tell. NTSC and PAL are entirely different broadcast/cablecast standards. It should work with a streaming media device provided it doesn't block your region based on its IP address, however you would have to use an American based VPN to get around this.
