• There is a button on the back of the TV that enables you to toggle through the inputs but other then that, you have to use the remote.

• The only button on this tv is power only.

• You have to use the remote. I have AT&T Uverse, so I use the AT&T remote for almost everything. The Toshiba remote is simple and would be easy to use, if you didn't have cable, etc.
