Nope, I own this TV. Toshiba got out of the US TV market in 2015. This set is made by Compal electronics, the same company that appears to make the Insignia brand TV's sold at Best Buy. That said, the TV if you still can find locally deserves consideration if you are not concerned with 4K or internal WiFI. It has a nice remote, above-average sound quality without a sound bar, and sturdy legs - all of these features are hard to find anymore. Read my review "...not a real Toshiba" for more info.
