This TV is set for US and Canada power. 120volts 60hz. Europe is 240 volts 50hz. The second reason it will not work is because the US and Canada use NTSC and Europe uses PAL. NTSC stands for National Television Standards Committee. PAL stands for Phase Alternating Line ...All the NTSC and PAL jargon refer to regular over the air TV. While you can get a transformer to reduce the 240 voltage down to the needed 120....you cannot increase the European 50tz to 60hz that this TV requires. Trying to run it on 50hz will just burn it up fast as the lower the hertz you go the closer to Direct Current.
