“Our Toshiba Chromecast TV was working fine until a few weeks ago, suddenly if you go to turn it off, at times it doesn't turn completely off, you see the bluish/black lit screen. Now it isn't turning on for me with remote or button on back of TV”

Mine had a problem like this too where it would appear to be off, but the screen's backlight would still be on. I would have to unplug the power cord from the TV, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in. Then it would come on normally again. This happened every couple weeks or so, only seemed to happen when we left the TV on overnight or during the day on Chromecast.
