Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. You need to use a smartphone or tablet, have Wi-Fi and Netflix a/o YouTube accounts. I also use Flixster/VUDU/Ultraviolet to watch movies. Pretty much anything you can access on a smartphone/tablet can be played through Google Cast. I have not been able, however, to get a friends DirectTV Mobile to work from either his phone or iPad. This model of Toshiba TV is not a "smart TV" and therefore does not have capability to surf web or access apps directly. It has Google Cast built in which is the default when you power on the TV by the way.
