“Having problems getting picture to stay on my Toshiba ct-rc2us-18 It will come on sometimes for a few minutes then the screen goes blank but audio is still ok. Wondering how to fix it. The tv is only 3 months old.”

Sounds like your backlight is going bad. Get a VERY BRIGHT LED flashlight and hold it up to the screen when it goes "blank". If you can see the picture faintly where the bright LED flashlight is shining, then your backlight is failing and you need warranty repair.
