“Do you HAVE to stream thru another device or is there a way to download apps such as Netflix directly on to the TV? I didn't think this would be an issue with the TV being labeled "smart". Debating return.”

Have the store tech. take out Crome Cast and then with some time spent typing in the information of your DVR and a wired connection to the TV you are off and running.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You have to stream thru another device with this TV. It's the same as connecting your computer to your TV . . . only you can do it wirelessly from any device (phone, tablet, laptop, computer). I have a Firestick so I never use this feature.
