Yes I know what you mean. Volume seems to adjust by steps. Since I have a cable remote I fine tune with that.

If so, and you use Comcast, you can use the volume controls on the cable box to lower the volume down even further than what the television will allow. Here's how it works.... The television starts out at a predetermined volume. Comcast cable boxes start out at half the volume range on the box when they are powered on. When you have the television volume lowered to 1, you can then lower the volume on the cable box to reduce the overall volume even further. Hope that helps. Good luck! Dm
