I had this happen while playing Xbox. The picture was distorted, mainly in the middle of the screen and then I shut the tv off and it didn't power down all the way; the screen was still lit and a dark blue light was seen between the screen and the plastic surrounding. I exchanged the tv and the new was has been terrific for about a month. I decided to buy the 5 year warranty plan since it covers everything including a replacemen if necessary. I figure in 3 to 5 years, something may go wrong again but am worry-free now that I bought the warranty and have my tv working excellent. I paid $120 for thr 5 year Geek Squad protection. I recommend that and recommend exchanging your tv asap. I hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We too are very dissatisfied with our recent Toshiba purchase. Shadows, grainy picture, distorted picture at times. We will be looking into taking the TV back & purchasing another brand. Very disappointing, this was a Christmas gift & a good amount of money to have these types of issues.
