• Yes WiFi I used a Ethernet cable from my router before setting the tv up

• It will need an internet connection for Chromecast to work. It's the first thing you do when you set it up.

• No...however you can "cast" from Chrome using you phone, tablet, or laptop.... https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/3228332?hl=en Hope this helps :)
