“While watching TV, the tv will just turn off. I have read this is a power saving option but the TV was purchased to watch…can this function be turned off…this is very frustrating.”

The TV has never turned off for me when I am using the antenna connection, When I am using the TV as a monitor for my laptop it turns off if my computer is idle for about 15 minutes. To turn it back on all you have to do is press the on button on the remote and it starts right back up in about 1 or 2 seconds. You don't have to reset your computer HDMI connection. I don't know if you can turn this option off but it have never been an annoying problem for me.
