For Windos systems it is compatible with Windows® XP, Vista®, 7, or 8, so as long as you're running one of those versions it is compatible. Since you asked about the 2TB drive on the 3TB drive page, my answer applies to both drives.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not know for sure. What I do know is that neither the Toshiba 3TB or the Seagate 3TB that I have will allow my Acer Aspire 5610 Laptop to boot. Both work well IF they are unplugged at start then plugged in after boot.
