• It does not have an on/off switch. Basically, you plug it in to your computer & it's active. Once you 'eject' it from the computer & unplug it from the power source it automatically turns off. Hope this was helpful!

• No it does not, you can pull the power cord out if you want to power down.

• No, this hard drive does not have an on/off switch but it will be recognized by your PC when you plug it into the USB port.
