• It runs off the USB power; keep in mind that it uses USB 3.0, so make sure you have a jack on your unit that is USB 3.0.

• Yes, it's powered by the pc/mac it's attached to. No plug.

• It runs on a powered USB connection. That could be a USB connection on a computer or a powered USB connection on a hub. (The hub would need to be powered from a wall plug.) The hard drive does not have a power-in port, just a USB port.
