“Compatible with Chrome OS? and or Linux OS ? Is this external hard drive compatible with Acer Chromebook 15 (Chrome OS) ? Also curious to know if its compatible with Linux OS /Ubuntu ? Since I do run both OS on my Chromebook.. I would greatly appreciate the help.”

I know for a fact that it is compatible with Chrome OS as for Linux, It's an operating system I have not used, nor am I familiar with it but , according to you, If both Operating Programs are compatible for use on same device, If I were to guess, In most likely hood the answer is yes.Let me know if someone more knowledgable gives you a more precise answer.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine works with unbuntu but I did reformat the hard drive to fat32 in order to make it more universal. I am not sure about chrome as I do not use that operating system, but fat32 is a pretty universal format so I don't see why it wouldn't work with chrome if you format it properly
