Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. What OS are you using? What backup software? Did you configure it to perform full backups or differential backups? My advice, if you're using Windows 7, 8x or 10, is to use File History for your backups locally and OneDrive to backup to the cloud. If you have an Office 365 subscription you already have unlimited storage.

Backups are usually incremental, and as files change or are added and removed, the size of the backup grows normally. If you are not concerned with old file versions, you could copy your important non-backup files off the drive to another drive, then reformat the drive and start over with your backup software. If old versions of files are important to you, you may wish to consider using the drive as archival storage (in other words, put the drive away as a archival backup) and using a new drive to continue backing up your computer. The prices are always dropping, and a new external backup drive with 4 TB of space can be found for under $100 on sale.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You woudl have to go to properties and look at custom to find the drive partitions for this
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Assuming that you are a Windows user, backups can take quite a bit of space. What are you backing up if you don't mind me asking? Just pictures or your main hard drive? Also what backup software are you using? These questions will allow me to assist you better. Thanks
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do my own back ups of my own stuff and never let the software do it for me. The file just keeps getting bigger and bigger. So I can't help you with the settings in the software (autoback up)
