It used to record for as long as I needed until I shut it off. Most shows are an hour- It just totally shuts off before the end of the show? I can't tape any movies now. What happened?”

You may be pressing the timer when setting it to record? When you press the RECORD button more than one time, it sets a timer for recording. Hope this helps?
