“How to hook up my neew DVD/VCR I have cable but not a cable box. Will this work? I rely solely on the instruction sheet and it shows it going through the cable box. My big cable cord right now just goes into the back of my TV. Can I use this unit just by leaving it going to the back of my TV or do I need a box?”

• This set up is very simple no cable cord required just the 3 red yellow and white cords and they are included.

• I hooked mine direct to tv ran nothing to cable box I bought a combo that doesn't record,if you want to record then you need to buy a tuner and you will run through cable box

• We did not run the device through our cable box, chose just to run the cable directly to the back of the tv - didn't have any trouble

• You should just have to change the input source for your TV (from CATV to AV). Leave the cable connected directly to your TV.

• You do not need to plug this into a cable box. Most people have one so the manual shows instructions on taking that route. You may place this straight into your TV and start watching all the movies you want.

• This will work easily. Just hook the cable from the wall to the new DVD/VCR on the "input" fitting. Follow directions for the other few wires.
