“Could I use a DigitalStream converter box as a tuner on this device? I have a digital HD TV, connected to a roof top antenna. I also have a DigitalStream converter box connected to the antenna & feeding in to an old VCR, which allows me to record from one channel while watching another. I currently have an LG combo DVD/VHS recorder player, which must have a built-in tuner. However, it appears to be on its last legs. Could I replace this and the old VCR with this Toshiba model, connect the converter box to the Toshiba, and record TV programs while not watching the same channel? I'd assume I couldn't program it to record different programs on different channels, as I can now, as I'd have to change channels on the converter box manually. But it would still be a better option than continuing with my dying LG unit. Thanks!”
