• It is easier if you have a DVR. Then transfer the recording through "out" to DVD/VHS "in". The quality will not be as good, I'm afraid.

• As long as you are in compliance with copyright law you can use the Toshiba Multiformat DVD-R/RW/+R/+RW Recorder/VCR Combo to record TV programming.
