• Well. Not sure, but I think that one sound and video data leads coming off either the TV out (if there is one) to the device might do it.

• In order to record a TV program, the recorder must be connected to a cable or satellite box. You'll connect cables from the video/audio outputs on the box to the video/audio inputs on the recorder, and select the video input as the source on the recorder. It will record the channel that has been selected on your box. Unfortunately, TVs don't have video outputs, so you can't record from the TV.
